Object based research with a fan

2018How to bring an object back to its core? How to deprive it from all unneccessary material without loosing any function?

These were questions we asked ourselves during the collaborative workshop with OpenStructurres and exemplary tested with a fan.

After taking the old fan apart, lea- ving nothing but its mechanical pieces and the rotor, the open and modular grid system of Open- Structures comes into play.

The result is a easily changable design in two sizes, enabeling the fan to be used in various settings. The modular construction system enables easy changes, not only in sizes, but in adding colorful ac- cessoires/pops of colour.
